Downtown Denver will forever be one of my favorite places. I have so many memories there. Concerts, dance competitions, GNO's, and family nights. And most importantly I have so many fun memories from this summer when all Pierce and I did in the evenings would go on dates. We've scouted out the best thai restaurants and ice cream shoppes and have become pretty attached. This summer was when I fell in love and I had the best time doing it. And about 50% of the memories we made this summer were in this beautiful city.
This trip back we've been back downtown a few times and I wanted to blog about the highlights.
First up is Anna Bè Bridal. OH. MY. GOSH. For starters it's next to a place dear to Pierce and mines hearts. Little Man Ice Cream. I have celiac disease (I am allergic to gluten) but have the biggest sweet tooth and always want some good dessert. That sweet tooth of mine (with a little help from yelp) led Pierce and I here countless times this summer. But we are talking about dress shopping now so I'm going to try to forget my ice cream tangent.
Let's talk about Anna Bè.
The owner is the biggest sweetheart I have ever met. And she's rad. She and her consultant Sarah helped me find my dream dress (YAY) and have the best time while doing so. I shopped in UT for my dress before I met Anna Bè and I was beginning to get pretty discouraged. I fell in love with a few different dresses, but couldn't bring myself to purchase them from a store I didn't feel was completely honest. So finding this gem in my hometown was an unexpected treat. I am kicking myself for not bringing my camera (even though my mom got a couple shots) and thank goodness for the iPhone.
I am seriously so excited for April and to show you all the dress I chose! (Not Pictured)
Another place I loved that I visited this trip was Little White Dress where I also shopped for a dress!
They didn't have "the dress" but they couldn't have been sweeter to me. They also had some incredible dresses. This was in the Highlands, the dreamiest part of Downtown Denver. It also happens to be right by Sweet Cow, another one of Pierce and I's favorite ice cream shoppes. But then again, we have a favorite ice cream place near anywhere in Denver.
How cute are all of the Christmas lights?
The last, and yummiest, place I want to share is Biju's Little Curry Shop.
This was only my second time having Indian food, and oh my goodness. It was out of this world. It was kind of like Chipotle but with Indian flavors. I loved how it maintained the flavors of regular Indian food but without the heaviness. The owner was the coolest guy, from the very Southern tip of India where they eat a little differently than the rest of India.
It was out of this world.
The shop also had the coolest lighting and artwork. If you ever find yourself in Denver, you'd hate yourself for skipping this.
I hope everyone has had the best break and is enjoying the snow! It's freezing but I'm so glad it came.
