It has been the biggest treat to be back in Colorado for a whole nine days.  Being with my family is the best, and I can't even believe we already have to go back to Provo in a couple of days.  Thanksgiving has always been one of my f a v o r i t e holidays, I get so excited to make all dinner and of course all of the pies! And I freak out a little every time I see Christmas lights, I just LOVE the beginning of the holiday season.  Today was a dream, being with my family, having a big kitchen to cook in, and being home.  I would feel so ungrateful if I didn't take the time to record a few things I am thankful for this Thanksgiving day.

I am thankful that I have been able to live in so many beautiful places from California, Colorado, Utah, and a few other places as well.  God is an artist and I feel his love for his children whenever I take a moment to realize how amazing of  a world we live in.

I am thankful for random acts of kindness.  While my family and I were skiing, the piano tuner came to my house and my mom made a joking comment about how messy our house was and he could feel free to do the dishes as well.  We came home from the mountains to counter full of hand-washed dishes.  What a sweetheart!

I am thankful for modern technology.  I am thankful that I can be inspired by people that live halfway across the world.  I am thankful for friendships I am able to maintain with people I haven't seen in years.  I am thankful that I get to talk to my family every single day even as I am attending school in Utah and they are here in Colorado.

I am thankful for the knowledge I have that I can be with my family forever.  I am LDS and was baptized when I was 8 years old.  I am so thankful for the gospel and all of the joy it brings to my life.  I am so grateful to be a part of it and to be able to share it with everyone.

I am thankful for thai food.

I am thankful for my camera.

I am thankful for my friends in Colorado, Utah, and Idaho (s/o to Isabel).

I am thankful for Downtown Denver.

I am thankful for warm socks.

I am thankful for snow.

I am thankful for peppermint tea.

I am thankful for parents that have taught me so much.

I am thankful for inspiring literature.

I am thankful for the education I am receiving at BYU.

And last but definitely not least...

I am thankful for Pierce. When I met him four(ish) years ago I had no idea how much I would love him.  He is the sweetest soul and I am so so SO grateful for him.  I am thankful we became friends so long ago and I am thankful he is finally home.

NOW I am so excited to start celebrating the Christmas season! I love everything associated with Christmas and I am so excited for the celebrations to start! I hope you all had the dreamiest of Thanksgivings.  I hope to remember to keep the attitude of gratitude that this holiday inspires.
